PRODUCTS » Aged bricks
Aged clinker tiles retain their exclusive qualities: low water absorption and resistance to winter frost. Many people consider all bricks imported to Lithuania to be clinker, but it is not true. For many years true clinker bricks have been made from special clinker clay excavated in Germany and kilned at high temperature between 1100 and 1400°C. During kilning, the clay melts and becomes as strong as rock, meanwhile regular ceramic bricks are kilned at the temperature of only 800°C. As a result they absorb more moisture, are less cold resistant, less durable and more brittle than clinker.
